As far the local monuments, we strongly suggest you to visit the Saint Barbara's Monastery, (before you reach Kini village) built during the past century, where you can admire the remarkable icons of Saint's life. In the monastery there is an exhibition of handmade textiles made in the traditional loom. Another attractive monument is the church of the Assumption of the Virgin which is celebrated on 15th August. Besides the spiritual and holy monasteries, there is also another attraction, the Fishing Boats, Tools, Aquatic Organisms and Oysters Museum, a unique maritime museum in Cyclades.
